On July 10th, Detroit’s creative scene came together for an unforgettable night at the St. Regis to celebrate a major milestone—Trap City reaching #1 on STARZ. The event, Influence, was curated by Mikey Eckstein and hosted by media personality Randi Rosario, bringing together an impressive mix of artists, entrepreneurs, and cultural influencers to honor one of Detroit’s own.

The vibe was high-energy from the moment I walked in thanks to DJ Tay Made. Trap tacos, signature cocktails, and even trap-themed cake kept the crowd buzzing while conversations flowed across the room. It was more than just a celebration—it was a networking hub, a vibe check, and a cultural pulse point all in one. Detroit showed up, dressed up, and turned out to support homegrown success.

A special highlight of the evening was the appearance of Trap City’s executive producer, Tel Ganesan. His presence added an extra layer of excitement as guests congratulated him on the film’s success and took a moment to reflect on what this means for Detroit’s visibility in the entertainment world. Moments like this remind me how powerful our city is when we come together—supporting each other, building each other up, and making major moves in our respective lanes.

The Influence event wasn’t just a party—it was a celebration of culture, collaboration, and the power of storytelling. As Detroit continues to cement its influence on a national stage, it’s nights like these that remind us we’re part of something big. And trust me, the best is still to come.
